VILLE PLATTE - Early voting for the Saturday, March 29, election ended with 581 parish residents casting their votes. Of the total, 390 were in person and the other 191 were absentee.
A closer look at the total reveals 369 voters were white, 207 were Black, 242 were male, 339 were female, 312 were Democrat, and 219 were Republican.
