Chief A. Perry Thomas reports a body was found on Saturday, December 21, 2024. The body was discovered in a field, south of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center. Ville Platte Police and Evangeline Parish Sheriff Deputies responded to the scene. Detectives are investigating, and an identity is pending.
