The Ville Platte Police Department has confirmed the arrest of Elrick J. Gallow, 52, of Baton Rouge, in connection with the disappearance of Keabreonna Doucet.
Gallow is charged with second degree murder and is being held in the Evangeline Parish jail on no bond.
Doucet was last seen June 15, 2024, when she left her home on W. Live Oak Street in Ville Platte at 9 a.m. She was supposed to bring her daughter to a basketball game at 10 a.m. that day, but did not show up.
Her phone location pinged her near Romeo Hargrave City Park that day, but the phone was turned off after that.
Doucet was reported missing the following day, June 16. As of June 18, there has still been no contact or no known location.
