The state champion Pine Prairie High School Marching Band was recognized for its achievement during the Evangeline Parish School Board meeting held Wednesday, November 20.
Band director John Havard stated this was the first ever state marching competition and was hosted by the Louisiana Music Educator Association at McNeese State University.
