Evangeline Parish Registrar of Voters Ashton Lucas Buller was arrested in Avoyelles Parish, on Saturday, October 12, for charges of DWI and possession of schedule II CDS. Avoyelles Parish District Attorney Charles Riddle confirmed the arrest and the charges on Monday, October 14.
Buller was arrested by agents with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. As of Tuesday, no additional information was learned. More will be reported as it becomes available.
The Ville Platte Gazette reached out to Buller, on Tuesday, but he declined to make any comment or issue any statement regarding the alleged incident.
