The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• Jeffery J. Rubin, 36, Ville Platte, was arrested March 27, 2024, by Probation and Parole for probation or parole violation. Rubin remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Snowey B. Jason, 46, Mamou, was arrested March 27, 2024, by the Mamou Police Department for possession of schedule II CDS and simple criminal damage to property. Jason remains incarcerated on a $37,500.00 bond.
• Joseph Farrell Guillory, 46, Ville Platte, was arrested March 27, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS. Guillory was released on a $25,000.00 bond.
• Tony Lopez Williams, 43, Ville Platte, was arrested March 27, 2024, by the Ville Platte Police Department for domestic abuse - aggravated assault. Williams remains incarcerated on no bond.
• James Gregory Charlie, 49, Ville Platte, was arrested March 28, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for three counts of failure to appear for court. Charlie was released on no bond.
• Jordan Casey LaFleur, 36, Ville Platte, was arrested March 28, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for illegal use of currency CDS; manufacture, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule I CDS; and attempt and conspiracy to distribute schedule II narcotics. LaFleur was released on a $75,000.00 bond.
• James Garrett Nicks, 30, Mamou, was arrested March 28, 2024, by the Pine Prairie Police Department for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Nicks remains incarcerated on a $25,000.00 bond.
• Allen Noel, 34, Mamou, was arrested March 30, 2024, by State Police for DWI 1st and careless operation. Noel was released on a $3,500.00 bond.
• Leonard Lyle Fontenot, 19, Opelousas, was arrested March 29, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for two counts of attempted first degree murder and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. Fontenot remains incarcerated on a $1,250,000.00 bond.
• Crystal Nicole Fulton, 38, Mamou, was arrested March 31, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court. Fulton was released on a $5,000.00 bond.
• Earnest Julian Bernard, 68, Mamou, was arrested March 31, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for DWI 1st offense. Bernard was released on no bond.
• Brennan LaFleur, 20, Mamou, was arrested March 31, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for underage operating while intoxicated first offense. LaFleur was released on no bond.
• Marcus J. Joseph, 37, Chataignier, was arrested April 1, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of firearm by a felon, unlawful use or possess of body armor, and illegal carrying of weapons. Joseph remains incarcerated on a $60,000.00 bond.
• Alicia Nicole Matthews, 29, Ville Platte, was arrested April 2, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS. Matthews remains incarcerated on a $15,000.00 bond.
