On February 20,2024, while conducting criminal patrol in the town of Mamou, Narcotic Agents observed a vehicle traveling South on Railroad Ave fail to utilized turning signals on a left turn. Narcotic Agents conducted a vehicle stop. Upon making contact with the driver who was identified as Robert Hammon, a weapons pat search for officer safety was conducted. During the pat search a methamphetamine smoking pipe was located on Mr. Hammon. The female passenger who was identified as Jennifer Ann Fontenot, who maintained an Active Felony Warrant was placed under arrest for the Active Felony Warrant. Also, located in the back seat of the vehicle another female identified as Ashley Dupre. Upon Narcotic Agents having Ashley Dupre exit the vehicle illegal narcotics was located within the "wingspan" reach of Dupre. Robert Hammon and Ashley Dupre were arrested for possession of illegal narcotics and Jennifer Fontenot was arrest on an Active Felony Warrant. Hammon was also issued a Criminal Summons for the marijuana and a traffic citation for failure to utilize turn signals.
The search of the occupants and the vehicle yielded the following:
1.91 grams of methamphetamines
.10 grams of synthetic marijuana
2.58 grams of marijuana
3 Gabapentin pills

On February 20, 2024, Narcotic Agents while conducting criminal patrol on Lanse Bleu Road they
observed a vehicle swerve completely out of its lane of travel into the other lane. The vehicle then swerved back into the lane and then remained within that lane.
Upon Agents conducting a traffic stop, Agents made contact with the driver identified as Michael
Landreneau 26 of Ville Platte and front passenger identified as Lucas Bowers 34 of Opelousas. During a
pat down for weapons and for Officer safety, Landreneau turn to avoid the Officer pat down. After
both driver and passenger were searched for weapons, Agents observed both driver and passenger
become nervous. K9 Coup was deployed and conducted a free air sniff around the outside of the vehicle
and alerted on the driver side of the vehicle. Mr. Landreneau and Mr. Bowers were asked it there were
illegal narcotics within the vehicle and they stated no. Agents advised them of the K9 alert and again
asked if there was any illegal narcotics in the vehicle and they stated no. When searching the vehicle
Deputy J. Durgin then searched the contents of their pockets and in M. Landreneau's left front pants
pocket a piece of plastic with 3.48 grams of Synthetic Marijuana was located. When searching the
vehicle in the center console a cellophane with 4 white oval pills with imprint E 79 identified as Zolpidem
Tartrate 10mg a Schedule IV Narcotics. In the front passenger door in a green flashlight was a piece of
plastic with 2.65 grams of Methamphetamines. Also located in the center console was smoking pipe
containing Synthetic Marijuana. In the front passenger seat near the center console area, located was a
sunglass case with a glass Meth pipe inside. Both Landreneau and Bowers denied any knowledge of the
illegal narcotics within the vehicle. The driver was issued a traffic citation. Both Landreneau and Bowers
were arrested for possession of illegal narcotics.
The search yielded the following:
2.65 grams of methamphetamines
3.48 grams of synthetic marijuana
4 Zolpidem tartrate pills
