The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• Tonya Renee Sylvester, 42, Ville Platte, was arrested February 2, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for aiding and abetting; remain where forbidden, and obstruction of justice. Sylvester remains incarcerated on a $25,000.00 bond.
• Anthony Jude Soileau, 42, Basile, was arrested February 2, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for simple escape; aggravated escape, forgery, and failure to appear for court. Soileau remains incarcerated on a $50,000.00 bond.
• Alex Jumaun O’Neal Ardoin, 35, Mamou, was arrested February 2, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for manufacture, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule I CDS; possession of schedule II CDS; possession of a firearm by a felon; and possession of a firearm with certain CDS offenses or while committing a crime of violence. Ardoin remains incarcerated on a $200,000.00 bond.
• Jason Lynn Richard, 51, Mamou, was arrested February 3, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of CDS I heroin; possession of schedule II CDS (two counts); create, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule II methamphetamine (two counts); and possession of CDS schedule I. Richard remains incarcerated on a $90,000.00 bond.
• Market Anthony Freeman, 37, Mamou, was arrested February 3, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for create, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule II methamphetamine; possession of schedule II CDS; manufacture, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule I CDS (two counts); and illegal use of currency CDS. Freeman remains incarcerated on a $266,500.00 bond.
• Dillon Anthony Smith, 36, DeRidder, was arrested February 3, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for illegal possession of stolen things. Smith remains incarcerated on a $50,000.00 bond.
• Leland C. Guidry, 54, Cheneyville, was arrested February 3, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for disturbing the peace/ offensive language, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, and illegal carrying of weapons. Guidry remains incarcerated on a $28,000.00 bond.
• Taylor Anthony Clark, 18, Ville Platte, was arrested February 5, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for underage driving under the influence and careless operation. Clark remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Michael Charles, 25, Ville Platte, was arrested February 5, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for probation or parole violation. Charles remains incarcerated on a $15,000.00 bond.
• Lezett Maurice Watkins, 55, Mamou, was arrested February 5, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS. Watkins remains incarcerated on a $25,000.00 bond.
• Dana P. Karam, 62, Kinder, was arrested February 4, 2024, by State Police for DWI 2nd offense and stop signs and yield signs. Karam was released on no bond.
•Dekoleon Demoures Dejeun Campbell, 31, Ville Platte, was arrested February 7, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for resisting an officer, obstruction of justice, and use or possess to use drug paraphernalia. Campbell remains incarcerated on a $2,000.00 bond.
• Joshua Charles Jones, 21, Ville Platte, was arrested February 6, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for aggravated assault with a firearm. Jones remains incarcerated on a $75,000.00 bond.
• OBrian Cornelia Wilson, 39, Mamou, was arrested February 6, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for probation revocation. Wilson remains incarcerated on no bond.
