The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• Remonna T. Johnson, 40, Ville Platte, was arrested December 5, 2023, by the Ville Platte City Marshal’s Office for flight from an officer - aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer, and domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. Johnson was released on a $25,000.00 bond.
• Donaven Weston, 18, Ville Platte, was arrested December 6, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for theft of a firearm and failure to appear for court. Weston remains incarcerated on a $15,000.00 bond.
• James L. Navarre, 44, Mamou, was arrested December 6, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for theft and forgery. Navarre remains incarcerated on a $17,000.00 bond.
• Cameron Lane Leger, 21, Mamou, was arrested December 6, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for theft and forgery. Leger remains incarcerated on a $17,000.00 bond.
• Tabitha Harrington Oneal, 35, Oakdale, was arrested December 7, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS. Oneal remains incarcerated on a $15,000.00 bond.
• Jauwan Laquez Bellard, 21, Ville Platte, was arrested December 7, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for domestic abuse - aggravated assault. Bellard remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Elizabeth Skii Edmond, 42, Ville Platte, was arrested December 7, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for two counts of taking contraband into a penal facility. Edmond was released on a $15,000.00 bond.
