The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• Jaysa N. Prudhomme, 20, Ville Platte, was arrested November 14, 2023, by the Ville Platte City Marshal’s Office for failure to appear for court. Prudhomme was released on a $20,000.00 bond.
• Magen Lynn Whittington, 37, Ville Platte, was arrested November 14, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court. Whittington was released on no bond.
• Parris Rachine Guillory, 44, Eunice, was arrested November 15, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of a firearm with certain CDS offenses or while committing a crime of violence and two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics. Guillory was released on a $55,000.00 bond.
• Hunter Paul Thibodeaux, 23, Eunice, was arrested November 17, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court. Thibodeaux was released on a $1,000.00 bond.
• Cameron M. Touchet, 24, Branch, was arrested November 17, 2023, by the Turkey Creek Police Department for theft of a firearm. Touchet remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Daylan Myers, 23, Carencro, was arrested November 17, 2023, by the Turkey Creek Police Department for possession of a firearm by a felon, flight from an officer, and theft of a firearm. Myers remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Shelia K. Fontenot, 52, Ville Platte, was arrested November 16, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS. Fontenot was released on a $5,000.00 bond.
• Zacarie David Fontenot, 32, Ville Platte, was arrested November 16, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule III CDS. Fontenot was released on a $3,500.00 bond.
• Jaquan Jarinski Lavergne, 18, Ville Platte, was arrested November 16, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for illegal possession of stolen things. Lavergne was released on a $30,000.00 bond.
• Marlon Montrel Williams, 35, Ville Platte, was arrested November 16, 2023, by the Ville Platte City Marshal’s Office for battery of a police officer, resisting an officer, and aggravated assault. Williams was released on no bond.
• Gregory James Charlie, 48, Ville Platte, was arrested November 17, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for resisting an officer, emanation of excessive sound or noise, and failure to appear for court. Charlie was released on a $5,500.00 bond.
• Hunter Marcantel, 25, Ville Platte, was arrested November 19, 2023, by State Police for DWI 1st and improper lane usage. Marcantel was released on no bond.
• Journie Renee Moses, 29, Ville Platte, was arrested November 18, 2023, by State Police for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and careless operation. Moses was released on a $3,500.00 bond.
• Gregory James Charlie, 48, Ville Platte, was arrested November 19, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for resisting an officer, emanation of excessive sound or noise, disturbing the peace/ offensive language, and contraband; condemnation proceedings. Charlie was released on a $15,250.00 bond.
