The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• Carlenski Durell Arvie, 36, Ville Platte, was arrested October 16, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for simple criminal damage to property. Arvie was released on a $61,000.00 bond.
• Shane Alex Fontenot, 33, Ville Platte, was arrested October 18, 2023, by the Ville Platte City Marshal’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS, possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics, use or possess to use drug paraphernalia, and possession of legend drug. Fontenot remains incarcerated on a $30,000.00 bond.
• Artravion Trey’von Charles, 18, Ville Platte, was arrested October 18, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for attempted first degree murder and assault by drive-by shooting. Charles remains incarcerated on a $275,000.00 bond.
