EPSO Arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons: • Jason Lynn Richard, 51, Mamou, was arrested October 10, 2023, by State Police for driving under suspension, security required (no insurance), careless operation, and hit-and-run driving. Richard remains incarcerated on no bond. • Eva Marie Martello, 50, Mamou, was arrested October 11, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS and possession of schedule IV CDS. Martello was released on a $15,000.00 bond. • Kelin James Carriere, 25, Eunice, was arrested October 11, 2023, by the Basile Police Department for resisting an officer, flight from an officer, reckless operation of an off-road vehicle, and simple criminal damage to property. Carriere was released on a $20,000.00 bond. • James Lee Navarre, 43, Mamou, was arrested October 11, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court and create, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule II methamphetamine. Navarre remains incarcerated on a $30,000.00 bond. • James Anthony Wise, 44, Hineston, was arrested October 11, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for three counts of theft of firearm, theft, and simple burglary general. Wise remains incarcerated on a $125,000.00 bond. • Joseph Bergeron, 27, Mamou, was arrested October 13, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for flight from an officer - aggravated flight from an officer and criminal trespass. Bergeron remains incarcerated on no bond. • Marcus Arvie, 23, Ville Platte, was arrested October 13, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for second degree murder/ accessories after the fact. Arvie was released on a $250,000.00 bond. • Dylan Paul Fournerat, 26, Ville Platte, was arrested October 15, 2023, by the Ville Platte Police Department for failure to appear for court. Fournerat was released on a $100,000.00 bond. • Gregory James Charlie, 48, Ville Platte, was arrested October 16, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court and resisting an officer. Charlie was released on a $6,500.00 bond.
