The 11th murder of the year in Ville Platte took place on Friday, October 6, at the intersection of Martin Luther King Street and Court Street.
Chief of Police Al Perry Thomas, at the city council meeting held Tuesday, said the murder was the result of a shooting.
The chief went on to say the investigation remains ongoing. “When we find out more, we will let you guys know,” he told the council.
