Body is found in a Ville Platte ditch

Ville Platte Police are investigating a possible homicide after a body was found in a ditch off of Edward Knotoe Thomas Jr. Street. The body was found on the evening of Monday, August 14. According to reports, witnesses claimed they could hear loud shots coming from the scene where the body was found. The matter is still under investigation.
