The Ville Platte East 6U T-Ball All-Stars traveled to Center, Texas, to take part in the Dixie Youth Region III World Series. In the first pool play game on Thursday, the team blew past the host team, Shelby County, Texas, by a score of 23-15. The All-Stars followed that up with a 13-12 win over Corsicana, Texas, later that evening. In other pool play action on Friday, the VP All-Stars lost to Tarkington, Texas, 16-13 and bounced back with a 21-6 victory over Sevier County, Ark. Bracket play began on Saturday as the team defeated Magnolia, Ark. to advance to the second round of single elimination play. Ville Platte was then eliminated from the World Series after losing to EMC, Texas, Saturday evening. In the left photo, Hudson Lafleur slides into the second base bag against Magnolia.
