Contradansers keep tradition alive at Cotton Festival

This year’s youth Contradanse team has been practicing hard under the leadership of instructors Melanie and Rob Soileau. They will perform Tuesday evening, October 11, at the Northside Civic Center beginning at 5 p.m. to help officially kick off Cotton Festival Week. In addition to the Contradansers, there will be live music by Lennis Soileau and the Friendly Cajuns, as well as the crowning of Heritage Manor’s Cotton Festival King and Queen, Le Roi et La Reine. Cost of admission is $5 for adults and children over the age of five. Children five and under are admitted at no charge.
