The United Way Stand Club recently donated $500 to the Ville Platte Girls-Boys Place. Mayor Jennifer Vidrine said, “I would love to give a big loving thank you of appreciation to the United We Stand organization for their donation to the Ville Platte Girls-Boys Place with all my heart. Their donation shows how much they care about our ‘sha babies’ and how important their organization is to our community. It is heartwarming to see the men of our community participating in our Girls-Boys Place.” Vidrine invites and welcomes any organization or individual to donate to the Girls-Boys Place, noting, “No amount is too small or too large. The Girls-Boys Place is a great program exposing our children to experiences they otherwise would not be exposed to. It is an investment in the future of our children because they are our future!” Shown, kneeling in front are treasurer Marlin Arvie (left) and secretary Patrick Toussaint (right).
