Hampton Frank has retired after 34 years of service as a residential waste collection helper in Evangeline Parish. He began his career with BFI Waste Services of Evangeline Parish in 1987 and, since 2015, has been employed by Acadiana Waste Services, LLC, of Evangeline Parish, the current residential waste collection contractor for the parish. Prior to his career in the waste industry, Hampton served 12 years in the National Guard, completing basic training at Fort Benning, Ga., in 1978. Hampton is a lifelong resident of Mamou and enjoys hunting rabbits, watching scary movies, and playing pool. He is active in his Catholic faith as a captain usher at Saint Ann Catholic Church in Mamou and a member of the Knights of Peter Claver. Hampton would like to thank his friends, family, and residents of Evangeline Parish for all of the support he has received from them throughout the years and is looking forward to enjoying retirement.
