For the first time in two years because of the pandemic, the parade returned as part of the events surrounding the annual Veterans Day observance in Mamou. The parade began at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, and rolled down famed 6th Street toward the American Legion Hall. In the top photo are local American Legion commander Charles Perdices and service members as they retire the colors at the ceremony that followed the parade.
