Reapportionment plans are depicted

At public workshops held last week, the Ville Platte City Council and Evangeline Parish School Board reviewed possible reapportionment plans following changes in population reflected in the most recent United States Census. The map on top shows the reapportionment plan created with input from the Ville Platte city council members. District A (orange) is represented by Faye Lemoine, District B (pink) is represented by Jerry Joseph, District C (yellow) is represented by Mike Perron, District D (red) is represented by Lionel Anderson, District E (green) is represented by Donald Sam, and District F (purple) is represented by Bryant Riggs. The map to the right depicts changes to the school board districts following input from the board members. District 1 (hunter green) is represented by Lonnie Sonnier, District 2 (orange) is represented by Nick Chaumont, District 3 (green) is represented by Karen Vidrine, District 4 (blue) is represented by Wayne Dardeau, District 5 (red) is represented by Peggy Forman, District 6 (yellow) is represented by Mike Fontenot, District 7 (coral) is represented by Sheila Joseph, District 8 (tan) is represented by Wanda Skinner, District 9 (lavender) is represented by Scott Limoges, District 10 (teal) is represented by Arthur Savoy, District 11 (purple) is represented by Nancy Hamlin, District 12 (silver) is represented by Ellis Guillory, and District 13 (pink) is represented by Georgianna Wilson. Final reapportionment plans will be adopted following public hearings to be held at later date.
