The Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana (PAR) has released its guide to the four proposed Constitutional Amendments that will be on the November ballot.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Ninth Baptist Church, for Mr. Calton Edwards, 89. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

For many years, the leadership of the Republican Party has been at war with the grassroots activists who work tirelessly on its behalf.

VILLE PLATTE - Barbara Ann Fontenot, of Ville Platte, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2023, at the age of 80 surrounded by her loved ones.

Free public programs are scheduled. On Tuesday, October 24, the main library will host a Medicare information seminar at 9:30 a.m. It will be followed by our weekly French Talk program at 1 p.m.
