Chief A. Perry Thomas reports that at approximately 9:34 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, the Dollar General on Tate Cove Road was robbed at gun point. Security footage shows a suspect with a slender build, wearing a black hoodie, ripped jeans, and a clown Halloween mask enter the store while brandishing a black firearm with an extended clip. According to detectives, store employees estimate the suspect escaped with around $1,000 cash.
