A message from SHS, As we continue to receive additional information regarding the pattern of the Tropical Disturbance, it has been decided that school will be closed on Monday, August 30th. We will continue to keep everyone updated as we receive additional details. Prayers for everyone’s safety.

EPSO continues traffic stops which result in drug charges

On Saturday, August 21, the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Department Criminal Patrol Unit stopped a car on the Oberlin Road for a traffic violation. The deputies made contact with the driver and noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car.

Budget is presented to EPSB committee

The Evangeline Parish School Board operated last fiscal year with a surplus of $2,886,484.12 in its general fund, according to Chief Financial Officer Amy LaFleur. LaFleur broke the news during the Evangeline Parish School Board’s Executive Committee meeting held Wednesday, August 25.

Classroom grants to local teachers totaling $28,966.53 have been awarded as part of the Airshow's 2021 STEMulate Learning Grant. The programs fund teachers' classroom efforts related to awareness and learning in science, technology, engineering and math topics and careers.
