Thrasher becomes third woman to serve on EPPJ

For the third time in the parish’s 110-year history, a woman was appointed to serve on the Evangeline Parish Police Jury. The latest installment is Leila Johnson Thrasher, who was appointed during a special meeting held Tuesday, August 24, to replace her father, the late Lamar Johnson, to represent District 4.
