Power walks: Protest at Cleco in Ville Platte is planned over electricity prices

Because of soaring electricity rates, a protest is planned for Wednesday, September 29, and Wednesday, October 6, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The protest will be on the sidewalk across the street from the Cleco office on Lincoln Road in Ville Platte.

VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services were held Friday, September 24, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte for Patsy Nell Guillory, 71, who passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in Ville Platte. Deacon Ben Soileau conducted the funeral services.

Ryan Paul Perron, age 45, of Houston, passed away unexpectedly September 15, 2021 in Wisconsin. A service will be held at a later date. Ryan was born on February 29, 1976, in Mamou. He graduated from Mamou High School. Ryan was a truck driver all of his life.

VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Joseph Lee Soileau, 87, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 28, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Soileau, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at his residence. Fr. Tom Voorhies will officiate the Mass.
