ECAA Annual Membership Drive to be held

Staff Report The Evangeline Community Action Agency Inc. will be conducting its annual membership drive to obtain representation in each geographical location throughout the parish, which includes the following: Ville Platte, Chataignier, Bayou Chicot, Pine Prairie, Turkey Creek, Mamou and Basile.

New chief of police holds faith-based meeting to begin term

By: HEATHER BOGARD Associate Editor Newly-sworn in Mamou Chief of Police Charles “Pat” Hall held a faith-based meeting with several of Mamou’s ministers, Mayor Leisa Deshotel and several council members on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Mamou Police Department.

The Library Board of Control will meet on Monday, January 9, for its first meeting of the New Year at 12 noon in the multipurpose room of the main library in Ville Platte. The public is invited to attend.
