EPSO announces additional drug arrests/ citations

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, released the following: On March 2, the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department Narcotic Units conducted a traffic stop in Ville Platte. Agents witnessed the driver throw something out as he was exiting the truck.

New water rates are proposed

By: HEATHER BOGARD Associate Editor During the March 8, meeting of the Mamou Town Council, a proposed ordinance to set new water rates was introduced. Under the proposed ordinance, the base fee for in town customers would be $27 for the first 2,000 gallons used, with a $3.
