The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons: • Donnie J. Johnson, 33, Ville Platte, was arrested March 14, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court.

VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services were held for Lionel Andrew Fontenot, 76, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Father Mitch Guidry was celebrant of the Mass, as well as conducted the funeral services.
