Four-day week is tabled... again

By: TONY MARKS Editor An issue which was tabled by the superintendent’s employee advisory council and by the school board’s executive committee gained momentum after an unscientific survey showed over 70% of school employees and parents approved of going to a four-day week.

Mahaffey is charged with card theft

On February 14, the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office received a complaint in reference to a theft of two credit cards. During the investigation, it was discovered the victim had multiple unauthorized transactions that were made within Evangeline Parish and Avoyelles Parish.

Tri-Parish workforce drops slightly

Staff Report The Tri-Parish workforce totaled 67,083 in January, down 386 or 0.6% from January 2022, according to statistics released Monday by Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The workforce includes those working and looking for a job. The statistics are not seasonally adjusted.
