VPCC amends curfew hours

The Ville Platte City Council voted to move curfew hours for the city to 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for adults and businesses. The new curfew goes into effect tonight.

VILLE PLATTE, LA - The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office needs the public assistance in locating a missing person.

Plans for school reopening are offered

The Evangeline Parish School Board discussed three plans for re-opening schools in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. They also heard about a new virtual school at Wednesday’s meeting.

Qualifying dates are set for Nov. election

Qualifying for the election held November 3 will begin Wednesday, July 22, at the Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court Office and will continue through Friday, July 24.
