Arrests are made in kidnapping; murder suspect is wanted

During the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 13, an incident occurred on Sixth Street in Mamou, during the Mardi Gras festival street dance, where a 19-year-old female was abducted by three male suspects.

Ville Platte Police arrests murder suspect

According to Ville Platte Chief of Police Al Perry Thomas, on February 6, officers with his department responded to several shots being fired on the east side of the city. Officers were given a description of the suspect’s vehicle, which was a silver Impala that was occupied by four male subjects.
