The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

NEW ORLEANS - The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) celebrated some of the state’s most outstanding teachers and leaders at the 18th Annual Cecil J. Picard Educator Excellence Awards Gala at the World War II Museum.

The Evangeline Community Action Agency Inc. is announcing the availability of funds dedicated to assist eligible low income households with their energy payments. All applications are taken on a first come, first served basis. Calls will begin to be taken on Monday, August 23, from 9 a.m.
