French Bulldog Suffers Loss of Eye to Blunt Force Trauma; Funds Needed to Help With Vet Treatment

Ville Platte — A French bulldog is on the mend thanks to a local animal rescue group who took him in after seeing he had suffered a severe eye injury and a broken jaw.

Schedule is announced for La. Cotton Festival

Miss Amelia Mickal is the reigning Queen Cotton LXIX. She will crown her successor Saturday, September 21, at the Cotton Coronation starting at 4 p.m. at the North Side Civic Center in Ville Platte. On Friday, October 11, the festival will open with its annual “Fais-Do-Do” starting at 6 p.m.

Qualifying is held for Louisiana Tournoi
