Turkey Creek Police report recent arrests

On November 14, 2020 Officers with Turkey Creek Police Department received a complaint
from a concerned citizen in reference to a female subject screaming and beating on the door of
a residence.
Officers responded to a residence on Veterans Memorial Highway in Turkey Creek and made
contact with Jeremy Johnson, who stated that the female already left the residence and was
identified as Christina Mire
During the field interview, Officers observed visible signs of a struggle and physical injuries
about the face and body of both subjects.
Johnson was arrested for violation of LaRS 14:35.3 domestic abuse battery. Christina Mire was
arrested for LaRS 14:35.3 domestic abuse battery and criminal damage to property.
Both were transported to Evangeline Parish Detention Center and booked on the above
charges.

(2) Drake Lejune W/M D.O.B 03-04-1990, Franklin La
On November 13, 2020 at 1840Hrs Officers with Turkey Creek Police Department were
conducting traffic control on US 167 when they observed a Motorcycle with an improperly
displayed license plate. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver Drake Lejune immediately
disclosed that his license plate was switched in violation of L.A.R.S. 47:536. Lejeune also told
Officer that he did not have a motorcycle endorsement in violation of L.A.R.S 32:863.3.
During the field interview it was learned that Lejeune was a security guard and was in
possession of a firearm and marijuana. Officers located a Smith & Wesson handgun, two
baggies of marijuana, MDMA/Ecstasy and items of drug paraphernalia on Lejeune’s person and
about the motorcycle. The incident occurred within a Drug Free Zone in violation L.A.R.S.
40:981.3.
Lejeune was issued a citation for the traffic infractions and booked in the Evangeline Parish
Detention Center for possession with intent to distribute a schedule I CDS, possession of drug
paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS and violation of a drug free
zone.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. I would like to remind
