Election Day is this Saturday

Voters in Evangeline Parish will head to the polls on Saturday, March 23, to cast their ballot in the Presidential Preference Primary election. Polls will open at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.
The deadline for a registrar of voters to receive a voted absentee ballot is March 22 by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters).
On the ballot will be presidential nominees for the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.
Democrat candidates are: Joseph R. Biden, Jr.; “Bob” Ely; “Frankie” Lozada; Stephen P. Lyons; Armando “Mando” Perez-Serrato; Dean Phillips; Cenk Uygur; and Marianne Williamson.
Republican candidates are: Ryan L. Binkley, “Chris” Christie, “Ron” DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Asa Hutchinson, Vivek Ramaswamy, David Stuckenberg, Rachel Hannah “MoHawk” Swift, and Donald J. Trump.
Election results will be in the Thursday, March 28, edition of The Ville Platte Gazette.
