Staff Report
On Wednesday, January 31, after 1:00 p.m., deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Ville Platte City Marshal’s Office began investigating a shooting on the 600 block of East Washington Street in Ville Platte.
According to reports, two victims were transported to the hospital after being struck in the incident. The condition of the victims was not known as of press time.
The matter remains under investigation, and additional information will be reported as it becomes available.
