On the 2 nd of January 2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotics Unit conducted a
search warrant on the old Basile Highway. Agents entered the residence and took one person into
custody without incident. Agents then conducted a search and located illegal narcotics. The following
occurred.

Possession with intent to distribute marijuana over 640 grams
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of drug paraphernalia
On the 4 th of January 2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop
on a vehicle in Ville Platte. Agents then made contact with the driver and passengers. They conducted
a short interview and K-9 Diego was then deployed. Agents then conducted a search of the vehicle and
located illegal narcotics.

Possession of a firearm in presence of CDS
On the 5 th of January 2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotics Unit, conducted a
search warrant after receiving multiple complaints on Lester Street in Ville Platte. Agents entered the
home and located illegal narcotics.

Also, on the 5 th of January 2023 Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotic Agents executed a
search warrant on the Faubourg Road after receiving multiple complaints about this residence. Agents
entered the residence and located illegal narcotics, and the following was charged.
