The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• James Chapman, 57, Eunice, was arrested March 19, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics, two counts of possession of a firearm with certain CDS offenses or while committing a crime of violence, possession of schedule III CDS, and possession of schedule IV CDS. Chapman remains incarcerated on a $65,000.00 bond.
• James Keyshon Deshown Christ Garlow, 22, Ville Platte, was arrested March 19, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for parish probation. Garlow was released on no bond.
• Hezekiah W. Thomas, 31, Ville Platte, was arrested March 19, 2024, by the Ville Platte Police Department for theft of goods. Thomas was released on a $10,000.00 bond.
• Oshimaine Keondez Thomas, 30, Ville Platte, was arrested March 20, 2024, by the Mamou Police Department for armed robbery and second degree battery. Thomas remains incarcerated on a $150,000.00 bond.
• Thaddeus Glenn Thompson, 43, Mamou, was arrested March 20, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for hit-and-run driving; death or serious bodily injury and negligent homicide. Thompson remains incarcerated on an $85,000.00 bond.
• Luis Ricardo Jimenez Montes, 29, Mamou, was arrested March 22, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for DWI 1st, color of clearance lamps, driver must be licenses, obstructing public passages, and possession of CDS schedule I. Montes remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Toryion Jamez Hayes, 19, Baton Rouge, was arrested March 2,, 2024, by the Basile Police Department for possession of a firearm with certain CDS offenses or while committing a crime of violence and manufacture, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule I CDS. Hayes was released on a $30,000.00 bond.
• Jaquan Jarinski Lavergne, 18, Ville Platte, was arrested March 21, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for illegal possession of stolen things. Lavergne remains incarcerated on a $75,000.00 bond.
• Zachary Tyler Launey, 22,
Pine Prairie, was arrested March 21, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for domestic abuse battery with child endangerment and domestic abuse battery - strangulation. Launey remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Johnny Everett Clark, 43, Ville Platte, was arrested March 21, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for attempted first degree murder, disarming a peace officer, and battery of a police officer. Clark remains incarcerated on a $1,075,000.00 bond.
• Jarell Jabone Richardson, 20, Walker, was arrested March 21, 2024, by the Basile Police Department for manufacture, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule I CDS and possession of a firearm with certain CDS offenses or while committing a crime of violence. Richardson was released on a $30,000.00 bond.
