The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• Cody Clyde Fontenot, 38, Ville Platte, was arrested February 15, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for domestic abuse battery - strangulation. Fontenot remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Gerald Joseph Matt, 47, Ville Platte, was arrested February 15, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court. Matt was released on no bond.
• Sonia Marie Paul, 23, Mamou, was arrested February 15, 2024, by the Mamou Police Department for possession of schedule II CDS. Paul remains incarcerated on a $15,000.00 bond.
• Jody R. Fontenot, 54, Mamou, was arrested February 15, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for four counts of failure to appear for court. Fontenot remains incarcerated on a $5,000.00 bond.
• Jill Elizabeth Raffray, 59, Ville Platte, was arrested February 15, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for two counts of failure to appear for court. Raffray was released on a $5,000.00 bond.
• Ashley Nicole Fontenot, 35, Ville Platte, was arrested February 16, 2024, by the Ville Platte Police Department for two counts of failure to appear for court. Fontenot remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Brandon Paul Bordelon, 22, Ville Platte, was arrested February 18, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for aggravated battery. Bordelon remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Jauwan Laquez Bellard, 22, Ville Platte, was arrested February 19, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for domestic abuse - aggravated battery. Bellard remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Kelsey Rochelle Mallet, 25, Port Barre, was arrested February 19, 2024, by the Mamou Police Department for attempted first degree murder. Mallet remains incarcerated on a $750,000.00 bond.
• Steven C. Richard, 41, Lake Charles, was arrested February 21, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for aggravated battery and simple battery. Richard remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Michael Blake Leger, 35, Breaux Bridge, was arrested February 20, 2024, by the Ville Platte Police Department for video voyeurism and cyberstalking. Leger remains incarcerated on a $15,000.00 bond.
• Robert E. Hammon, 64, Mamou, was arrested February 20, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics. Hammon remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Jennifer Ann Fontenot, 28, Mamou, was arrested February 20, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for manufacture, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule I CDS. Fontenot was released on a $10,000.00 bond.
• Ashley Brooke Dupre, 41, Ville Platte, was arrested February 20, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics and probation violation. Dupre was released on no bond.
• Lucas Bowers, 34, Opelousas, was arrested February 20, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS. Bowers remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Michael Landreneau Jr., 26, Ville Platte, was arrested February 20, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS and possession of CDS schedule I. Landreneau remains incarcerated on no bond.
