The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• OBrian Cornelia Wilson, 39, was arrested October 19, 2023, by the Mamou Police Department for two counts of failure to appear for court, issuing worthless checks less than $300, and two counts of theft. Wilson remains incarcerated on a $18,625.00 bond.
• Rolonda Fontenot, 28, Ville Platte, was arrested October 19, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for two counts of failure to appear court. Fontenot was released on no bond.
• Russell Matthew Marcantel, 31, Ville Platte, was arrested October 19, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for simple battery. Marcantel was released on a $250.00 bond.
• Christian Blaine Doucet, 24, Mamou, was arrested October 20, 2023, by the Mamou Police Department for aggravated assault with a firearm. Doucet was released on a $25,000.00 bond.
• Brandon Rea, 37, Mamou, was arrested October 23, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of a firearm with certain CDS offenses or while committing a crime of violence, resisting an officer, possession of schedule II CDS, and taking contraband into a penal facility. Rea remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Keshone Isiah Fontenot, 24, Ville Platte, was arrested October 24, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of a firearm with certain CDS offenses or while committing a crime of violence and possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics. Fontenot remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Travis Perrodin, 38, Ville Platte, was arrested October 26, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics and three counts of failure to appear for court. Perrodin remains incarcerated on a $7,500.00 bond.
• Christopher Allen Wall, 37, Pine Prairie, was arrested October 25, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS; resisting a police officer with force or violence; obstruction of justice; and manufacture, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute schedule I CDS. Wall remains incarcerated on a $5,000.00 bond.
• Brittany Marie Gartman, 32, Ville Platte, was arrested October 25, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for three counts of failure to appear for court. Gartman remains incarcerated on a $1,500.00 bond.
• Jimmy Ray Coker, 53, Mamou, was arrested October 25, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for court. Coker remains incarcerated on no bond.
