The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• Vonteeko Lamar Johnson, 23, Ville Platte, was arrested August 2, 2023, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for first degree murder. Anderson remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Templeton Guillory, 39, Ville Platte, was arrested August 2, 2023, by the Ville Platte Police Department for taking contraband into a penal facility. Guillory was released on a $10,000.00 bond.
