Pine Prairie Chief of Police L.C. Deshotel has announced his candidacy for re-election on the November ballot.
In his election, Chief Deshotel said the following:
“To the residents of Pine Prairie. I, L.C. Deshotel, am asking for your support in the upcoming chief of police election on November 5.”
“I am a life-long resident of Pine Prairie and a graduate of Pine Prairie High School. I am married to Mercedes ‘Dee’ Deshotel and am the proud father of three children, Shane, Mark, and Haley. I have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.”
“I am a former businessman and councilman of Pine Prairie. I am a former deputy of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office and I am a member of the Louisiana Chief of Police Association, National Chief of Police Association, and the Southwestern Chief’s Association. I am also an International Associate of Chief of Police.”
“I would like to thank all the residents of Pine Prairie for their support over the past 30 years and would appreciate their support for the next four years. It has been a privilege working with the community and taking part in the improvements made in our village. When I began serving Pine Prairie as chief of police, I was the only officer working 24 hours a day and had only one police unit. Since then, I have made many improvements within our police department and am very proud of them. Although our department has grown, I am still available 24 hours a day to serve the needs of our village and proudly help the residents of Pine Prairie.”
“I would like the opportunity to protect and serve the residents of Pine Prairie in a fair and equal manner. With the experience of serving as your chief of police, I can say that our residents are wonderful people who help make our village a great and safe place to reside.”
“Being chief of police takes more than just being a qualified candidate. It takes experience, dedicated time, and hard work, which I have proudly given to the community for the past 30 years.”
“At this time, I am asking for your support to help keep our village safe and help maintain its good reputation as a wonderful place to live. Go out and vote on November 5 for #22 L.C. Deshotel as your chief of police. God Bless.”
