Birotte is sentenced

The Evangeline Parish District Attorney’s Office announced, on Monday, September 18, Timothy Birotte was sentenced to 45 years at hard labor for attempted second degree murder. He was also sentenced to eight years at hard labor for domestic abuse battery, five years at hard labor on a single count of aggravated flight from an officer, and two years at hard labor on a single count of violation of a protective order. District Attorney Trent Brignac complimented the work of Assistant DA Jacob B. Fusilier and the staff for their thorough preparation and presentation of the case. “My office will continue to seek justice on behalf of domestic abuse survivors,” Brignac said in a statement.
