On July 12, 2023 officers with the Chataignier Police Department responded to a disturbance at 343 Martin Luther King Street upon arrival officers noticed that a female victim had been assaulted by her boyfriend and upon further investigation a warrant was issued for the arrest of Philip Arvie of Chataignier. On July 25, 2023 Arvie was located and arrested on charges of Domestic abuse battery with no bond issued . Chief Gallow would like to commend his officers on a job well done and stated that it’s taking some time but his department is moving forward and if you commit a crime in his village you can expect to be arrested and charged.
