The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:
• Steve Brent Dardeau, 37, Eunice, was arrested January 24, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, careless operation, no seat belt, and failure to report an accident. Dardeau remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Edwards Hill, 20, Eunice, was arrested January 26, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for obstruction of justice. Hill remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Mindy Summer Soileau, 28, Ville Platte, was arrested January 24, 2025, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS and possession of schedule III CDS. Soileau remains incarcerated on no bond.
• Rick James Dabney, 39, Opelousas, was arrested January 25, 2024, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of schedule II CDS. Dabney remains incarcerated on no bond.
