Marks earns three LSWA writing awards

NATCHITOCHES — Tony Marks, editor of the Ville Platte Gazette and sports editor of The Oakdale Journal, earned three awards in the 2024 Louisiana Sports Writers Association Annual Contest. The awards were presented on Sunday, June 29, in Natchitoches.

Year two with Lamb

By: TONY MARKS Editor MAMOU - As the Mamou Green Demons work out this summer ahead of a new football season, it is a case of good news and bad news. The bad news is the number of kids is lower than the number last year. The team now has roughly 47 kids in the program. Last year, the number was 65.
