Staff Report The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments K-9 Unit, on Monday, August 1, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the L'anse Meg area for a traffic violation.

Arrest is made in theft of sawmill

On July 5, 2022, Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office began an investigation in reference to a theft of a gas operated sawmill that was stolen at the 1000 Blk. of Clayton Rd.

EPSO assists attorney general's office in computer crimes against juveniles

On July 27, 2022, Detectives with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted the Attorney General’s Office with two separate ongoing investigations involving computer crimes with juveniles. During the investigations two suspects were identified.

Narcotics and over $11,500 in currency are seized
