On May 9, 2022, the mother of a juvenile victim reported that the suspect (Bobby James Lee of Ville Platte) sexually assaulted her six year old daughter on multiple occasions.

From September 29th to November 20th, 2022, the following incidents took place in the jurisdiction of the Village of Turkey Creek. On September 29th, one stolen AR-15 was recovered and returned to the investigating agency.

Soileau charged with monetary instrument abuse and theft

On July 26, 2022, Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office received a complaint of a possible identity theft. During the investigation it was learned that the suspect Robert Soileau Jr. of St. Landry Louisiana had been hired by the victim to do some repairs on his property.

Traffic stop leads to wanted felon

Staff Report The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department’s Traffic Enforcement Division, on Friday, November 11, conducted a stop on I-49 for a violation. Once the deputy checked the driver’s identity, it was learned he was wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies.
