Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office releases the following: On July 6,2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotics Unit, conducted a traffic stop on Tate Cove and East Jefferson. Agents made contact with occupants and smelled the odor of Marijuana.

EPSO reports drug arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotic Unit along with the Allen Parish Sheriff Departments Swat unit, conducted a search warrant on June 27,2023. Agents entered a residence located on Reverend E D Alfred Street in Ville Platte.

SATURATED DWI PATROL

Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office will be conducting a Saturated DWI Patrol on July 1, 2023, July 7, 2023, and July 8, 2023, between 8:00 PM and 4:00 AM each day. The statistics show driving under the influence of alcohol is the leading cause of traffic fatalities.

Arrest is made for home invasion

On June 7, deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 400 Blk. of Sandy St. in reference to a disturbance taking place.
