EPSO responds to standoff

On December 4, 2025, Narcotic Agents were conducting a surveillance operation within the Bond Road of Redell. Agents had momentarily parked at the intersection of Lahaye Road and Old Highway 13 in the parking area of the Car Wash.

Crash is investigated

Chief A. Perry Thomas reports that approximately a half hour after midnight on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, a late model, dark gray GMC Sierra with a personalized Army plate was used to break into Tobacco Plus, located at 1021 E. Main St.

Nearing completion

By: TONY MARKS Editor This time of year is a time of showing gratitude. For Sheriff Charles Guillory, he is especially grateful this year that one of his big projects will soon be completed. Sheriff Guillory stated he hopes to be moved into the new parish jail by January.
